Description

The carriage house and stables to the Manor House, originally listed as a barn and farm building to the west, date from the 18th century. They are constructed of limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and feature stone slate roofs. The building has an open square plan with a lean-to against the central section in the courtyard.

The north wing includes two carriage openings under depressed arches, one of which is blocked, along with an adjacent round-headed pedestrian opening. The central section is symmetrical to the courtyard, featuring a central stable door leading to the lean-to and five clerestorey windows with ashlar voussoir lintels, with the center window being blind. There are also two hipped dormers. The south wing has a half-round window and a dormer.

The carriage house has been extended to the north with a midstrey as a 19th-century conversion to a barn. A stone basin is located in the courtyard.
