II

Shown on OS map as The Star. Dwelling, at one time The Star Inn. Probably C17 origins, mostly later fenestration. Painted rubble, stone slate roofs in two slightly different units, stone stacks to left gable, off-centre left, and off-centre, right. Two units, probably originally main and service blocks, with entry now off-centre right at junction between units. One-and-a-half storeys and part cellar; left half has two 2-light gabled dormers over two 3-light chamfered mullion casements; and C20 part glazed door under the right-hand dormer, set in thicker walling edging into main surface at eaves; above, left of door, a square stone with blocked and window near eaves, rosettes carved to corners. Also built in to this main wall a length of vertical timber, possibly vestige of roof or other framing. Far left is a good plank cellar door. Right half has one 2-light gabled dormer over 2 and 3-light C19 casements, a C20 door, and a C20 casement. Interior not inspected.
