Description

The barn at Knapp Farm is an 18th-century roadside barn constructed from coursed thin-bedded limestone and topped with stone slates. It has a plain rectangular shape with coped gables and cross saddles. Facing the road, there are two ventilation slits and a door featuring a cambered lintel. On the far side, there is a full-height flush opening opposite a half-height opening. At the north end, there is a lean-to with a pantile roof. The interior consists of five bays with three purlins, an A-frame structure, and tie-beams. This barn is part of a group with Knapp House located opposite.
