Description

Number 1 Brook Villas and the adjoining workshop, dating from around 1820, is a two-storey building constructed of coursed and dressed rubble with a Cotswold stone roof. The façade features three windows with casements; the outer first-floor windows have exaggerated ogee heads, while the central window is a keyed porthole. On the ground floor, there are two light mullion windows with square heads. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door set in a large rusticated surround. To the left, there is a projecting two-storey gabled wing with a band over the ground floor and a central cusped panel. The gable end features a Tudor arch panel above a keyed porthole window, and there is an arched rusticated opening on the first floor with a date in the keystone and modern doors. A modern entrance is located on the ground floor.
