Description
This is an early to mid-19th century cottage, part of the Johnson’s Mill complex, forming an irregular terrace of two-and-a-half storey houses located on Brewery Lane. The building is constructed of rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. It features two plus two gabled dormers and a tiled roof, with the left-hand house roofed in slate. The facade has three plus one plus three windows; all but the central window have cambered heads with brick detailing on the left-hand windows. Simple doorways are located centrally on the outer cottages. The left-hand cottage is included in the listing due to its group value.
