Description
Myrtle Cottage is a Grade II listed building, partly dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with an 18th-century extension. It is a large one and a half storey cottage constructed of rubble with a stone tile roof featuring saddlestones. The chimney is positioned off-centre to the right. Each gable has one window; the left gable contains a two-light casement set in a recessed surround with a chamfered mullion and a label. On the ground floor, there is a similar three-light window, although it has modern mullions. To the left, there is a projecting single-storey wing, and a door is located on the left gable. The south gable end features a two-light attic window and two single-light windows, all with similar surrounds and plain weathered cornices, flanking a former doorway that has been glazed.
