Description

Milestone located at the junction with the road to Staunton, dating from the early 19th century. This single stone stands about 750 millimeters high and has a rounded top. The inscription is carved and painted in the grooves, reading "Gloucester/ 23/ Miles/ London/ 128/," and is accompanied by an upward pointing arrow.
