4/94 The Red Hart (Public House) - - II

Inn. In two parts, C16 and late C18. Older section timber framed and ren- dered, later rendered rubble, all with broseley tile roof. L-shaped property plus large new room set in interior of L (over former external well, now in- side and exposed). Main front, gable left with heavy stack, then three storey, one-windowed with gable stack, right; at first and second floors large 2-light sashes with glazing bars, central to C18 block, two small new sashes ground floor, wide new door under segmental head. Wing facing church, exposed framing in gable, new door up steps in gable, right. Interior: heavy timber framework exposed, and one 'display' panel of wattle/daub (probably new). Old wing reputed to have been Church Cottage.
