Description
The Cricketers Public House is a public house that dates from the 16th century at the rear, with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries at the front. The front elevation is constructed of brick and features a slate roof with rendered stacks located at the right-hand end and left of center. The building has two storeys, with glazing bar sash windows beneath cambered heads; there are three such windows on the first floor and an angle bay window on the ground floor to the left. There is a 20th-century door on the right side.
The original cottage at the rear is timber-framed and encased in brick, topped with a plain tile roof and a rendered stack at the right-hand end. It has two casement windows on the first floor and a central glazed door that is sheltered by a corrugated iron pent roof supported by wooden posts. There is also an additional door in a small one-bay extension to the left. Inside, substantial timber framing is visible.
