Description
Well Farm House is a house that dates back to the 15th century, with additions made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill, which is now rendered, and has a plain tiled roof that is half hipped with a gablet on the right side. The building is rectangular, with its main front facing at right angles to the street and a lobby entrance. It has two storeys and three framed bays, although the right-hand bay is now hidden by a projecting 20th-century hipped roof extension that includes a dormer. The windows are of mixed styles, primarily leaded casements, and there is a planked door located to the right of the centre. The right-hand return front reveals the exposed timber structure, featuring a Queen post truss and corner bracing, along with a 20th-century extension facing the street. Inside, the timber framing is visible, and there is a deep brick fireplace with a wooden lintel.
