Description

The house at Whopshott Farm is an early 16th-century building that has been significantly altered and extended in the 19th century. It is timber-framed with colour-washed render infill, and has a plain tiled half-hipped roof with a gablet, with machine tiles on the right-hand side. A ridge stack is situated to the right, and another stack is at the rear left.

The right half of the main front is from the 19th century, featuring two casement windows on the ground floor within a pent roof extension. The centre of the house has a ribbed door sheltered by a gabled porch hood supported by wooden elements on brick walls.

The left-hand return front displays exposed timber framing, revealing a Queen post construction with two blocked mullion windows on the first floor. A pent roof porch is located to the right of the centre on this return.
