Description
Birch Farm House is a house dating from the 16th century, with significant extensions from the 19th and early 20th centuries. It has a timber-framed core that is clad in brick, with tile hanging above at the rear. The house features plain tiled roofs, hipped at the right end, with a ridge stack located to the left of center and another to the right. The building has an L-shaped plan and is two stories high. There are four leaded casement windows across the first floor, while the ground floor has windows on either side of a projecting gable front bay, which are set under cambered heads. The doors in the projecting bay are boarded and positioned to the left of center. A 20th-century addition is present at the rear, featuring angle bay windows. Inside, the timber frame is visible in the center of the house.
