Description
This lamp post, located in the churchyard about 10 meters southwest of the porch of the Church of St. John the Baptist, dates from the late 19th century. It features a cast-iron standard with an iron top. The post has a flared base, a fluted stem, a cross bar, and a moulded top. Above is a swan-neck design that leads to a clear glass ball, which is open at the top and bottom. The glass is held in a copper frame made of 12 pieces. The center band is wide and decorated with acroteria, and at the top, there is a pierced ring that fans out above with a crinkled edge, giving it an overall spherical shape. The lamp post has been adapted for electricity and has some broken glass. It is one of two similar lamp posts in the area.
