Description
Little Northend Cottage is a 17th-century house that features a timber-framed structure with wattle and daub infill, set on a mixed brick and stone plinth. The roof is covered with diamond asbestos slates, and there is a brick chimney. The house has a two-room plan with one gable chimney and is two stories high, with the upper floor largely incorporated into the roof space.
The entrance door is located on the right side, next to the chimney, and is accompanied by a 20th-century porch. To the left of the door, there is a canted-side oriel window on the ground floor, which has a planted head and sill, supported by one bracket beneath. Further left, there is a 20th-century window in a single-storey extension that dates from the mid-20th century. On the right-hand return, there is a lean-to timber-framed extension that is weatherboarded at the end and has a corrugated-iron roof.
