Description
Etloe Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1730, constructed from squared and coursed sandstone with a Welsh slate roof. The building is L-shaped, featuring a stair turret at the inner corner of the L. The left end of the structure is hipped with a stack, while the right end is half-hipped, and there are gables at the rear. A low wing on the right adjoins farm buildings that extend to the street line, and there is a new wing on the left. The farmhouse is 2½ storeys tall with five windows, showcasing wood mullions and transoms beneath stone voussoirs with a projecting keystone. It includes three 2-light casement dormers and a new glazed central door. The two-storey wing on the right has four windows with 2-light casements. Inside, the staircase is early 19th century, featuring stick balusters. A date panel on the building reads AMD 1730.
