Description

East Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1744, as indicated by the initials G and ET on the lintel at the ground floor left. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and features a steeply-pitched roof made of Welsh slate, with two end chimneys and one central corniced brick chimney. The building has large quoins and is two storeys high with five bays.

The three narrow bays on the left contain square windows on both floors, with a wide flat stone lintel above the ground floor windows. To the right, there is a 6-panel part-glazed door that has a shallow oblong fanlight and moulded jambs, set in plain reveals. The two wider bays on the right also have square windows on both floors, which are under timber lintels. The window to the left of the door is a 20th-century addition, while the other windows are sashes with late 18th-century glazing bars.
