Description
South Lodge is a house dated 1826, built in sandstone ashlar and featuring a roof concealed behind a battlemented parapet. Designed in a castellated style, it is a single-storey structure with three bays. The central bay is canted and contains a door with three vertical panels and a shaped fanlight set within a pointed-arched surround. On either side of this central bay are two-light stone pointed-arched windows, each with label moulds above. The left side of the building has a battlemented and pedimented parapet that displays the Ravensworth Arms and the date 1826, above a four-light canted bay. The plinth features tooled cyma moulding, and the roof is topped with two octagonal stone chimneys that have cornices.
