Description

Ravensworth Castle is a ruined structure built in 1808 by architect John Nash for Sir Thomas Liddell. Constructed from ashlar sandstone, it features a castle style and stands four storeys tall. The ground floor has a door opening, while the first and second floors each have a 2-light window opening with label moulds above. There is also a ruined window opening on the third floor. Some additional building work was designed by Sir Thomas' son, Thomas Henry Liddell, around 1822, and the castle was completed in 1846.
