Description

This is an 18th-century barn located to the west of Oatfield Farmhouse. The barn is constructed of rubble, with some timber box-frame elements, and it features a later brick return wing with a tiled roof. It currently has three bays, with carriage openings in the third bay, while the fourth bay has likely been removed due to the construction of the later brick wing. The roof is a collar and tie type, with the collar braced on one side only where the wall structure is timber, and there is a lean-to roof that extends downward. The barn is situated immediately west of the farmhouse.
