Description
This is an 18th-century barn located to the southwest of Manor Farmhouse in Chearsley. The barn features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, standing on a brick plinth with an old tile roof. It consists of four bays and has an off-centre wagon entry, along with a later two-bay rear or west wagon porch. There are lean-to rubblestone walls on the southwest side, and witchert outbuildings at the northwest angle, which also have tile roofs. The roof trusses include raking queen posts supporting the lower purlins and a collar for the upper purlin.
