Description

Lynton Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with modern additions to the south. It features a timber frame with brick infill, which has been colour washed and plastered. The modern parts are also finished in colourwashed render. The cottage has old tile roofs that are half-hipped at the street gable. The original structure consists of a single bay that is two storeys high with an attic, while the two modern bays are also two storeys tall and have a lean-to on the east side under a catslide roof. The windows are leaded casements, and there is a door located on the west side. A single diagonal brick flue made of thin bricks is positioned between the right-hand bays.
