Description
The Rosary is a cottage that dates from the medieval period, with elements from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of witchert that has been colourwashed and rendered, with a roughcast gable facing the lane. The cottage features a half-hipped thatch roof and consists of two bays and two storeys. The entrance is located between the left-hand bays and in front of the stack on the north-west side. The windows are irregular casements, mostly modern, with two eyebrow windows in the thatch on the south-east elevation and one on the north-west elevation. Inside, there are remains of a medieval cruck truss, with a single blade located to the south of the stack. The left ground floor room has a chamfered and stopped spine beam, while the other beams are chamfered only.
