Description

The Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th centuries. It is constructed of colourwashed and rendered witchert with a painted rubblestone plinth. The roof is covered in slate, replacing an earlier thatched covering. The cottage has two bays and one storey with an attic. A board door is located in the left bay, accompanied by a casement window to the side. A three-light casement window is on the right side. A two-light leaded casement window is visible in the left gable, and a three-light metal casement in the right gable, with other casement windows elsewhere. The roof is half-hipped to the left. A lateral stack is present at the rear and a large rubblestone stack exists on the right gable elevation, although its external flues have been removed. A slate-roofed rear wing and a modern, flat-roofed rear addition also exist.
