Description
Hagloe House is a dwelling built in the early 18th century. It features a red brick exterior with a stone plinth and quoins, topped by a Welsh slate roof. The building has a fine parallel range structure with end stacks and includes a single-storey 19th-century wing on the right. It stands 2½ storeys tall and has six windows, all of which are good sashes with glazing bars set under fine rubbed brick flat arches with keystones. There are five dormers with 2-light casements, although one window on the ground floor is blocked. The entrance, located off-centre to the left, consists of an 8-panel door framed by an architrave and a deep projecting flat hood. Inside, the house boasts a very fine open well oak staircase from the early 18th century that rises to the roof storey, along with many original panelled doors.
