Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about 11 metres south of the tower of St Mary Magdalen Church. It dates from the early to mid-18th century and is made of sandstone. During a survey in November 1983, the monument was heavily overgrown with ivy, but features such as a very thick top with a chamfered edge and lyre ends were still visible. It is the easternmost of a group of three monuments that are aligned east-west, and there may be inscriptions underneath the overgrowth.
