Description

HEWELSFIELD GENERAL SO 50 SE 6/34 UNIDENTIFIED monument in the churchyard c11m south of the tower to the church of St Mary Magdalen GV II Chest tomb. Early to mid C18. Sandstone. At time of survey, November 1983, the monument heavily overgrown with ivy, but a very thick top to chamfered edge, and lyre ends are discernible. The easternmost of a group of 3 monuments lying east-west in close alignment; inscriptions may be extant under the over- growth.
