Description
This milestone, dating from the 19th century, is made of sandstone and has a rounded top. It measures approximately 300mm by 225mm by 600mm and is inscribed with 'To Chepstow 7....', although the rest of the inscription was buried at the time of the survey in December 1983. The milestone also features a bench mark on top. It is situated on the east side of the St Briavels to Chepstow Road, about 200 meters south of the entrance drive to Aylesmore Court in the parish of St Briavels.
