Description
This barn, located about 25 metres east of Naas Court, is possibly from the 16th century and has undergone significant alterations. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a segmental corrugated iron roof. The long wall that runs parallel to Naas Lane consists of eight bays, each with wide double-offset buttresses, and a clamp buttress at the left-hand end. There are ventilation slits in each bay and full-height steel doors in bay five. The right gable end is unbuttressed and has two ventilation slots, along with a plain string at the line of the curved roof. On the west side, there are remnants of a projecting carriage opening and some buttressing. Although it is overgrown and has lost its original roof, this barn remains a substantial remnant of what was likely a fine structure.
