Description

The Strode Memorial is a pedestal tomb located approximately 15 meters south-south-west of the west door of the Church of St Peter. It dates from the 18th century, with the earliest decipherable date being 182-. The memorial features a lofty pedestal with elongated elliptical inscription panels, a fluted frieze, and a pointed square domical top. The name "STRODE" is inscribed, dating to 182-, but it likely has an earlier origin.
