Description

The enclosure marker at Crabtree Hill Lodge, dating from 1896, is made of cast iron and features a semi-circular top with a raised edge and raised lettering. It measures approximately 375 millimeters wide. The inscription reads: "VR NEW BEECHENHURST ENCLOSURE BEING KENSLEY RIDGE AND PARTS OF SERRIDGE & BEECHENHURST AMOUNTING TO 6666 A. 3R. 38 P RE-ENCLOSED 1896. E STAFFORD HOWARD ESQ COMMISSIONER PHILLIP BAYLIS ESQ DEPUTY SURVEYOR."
