Description
This building is a mid-19th century office located between No. 1 Broad Street and No. 2 Church Street in Newent's Market Square. The front features painted Flemish-bond brickwork, while the exposed left side above No. 1 Broad Street is weatherboarded. The building has a flat roof and is two windows wide, with a depth of one or two bays, and stands three storeys tall. The ground floor has a late 20th-century shop front with a plain stone string course above, which incorporates the sills of the first-floor windows. There are two four-pane sash windows with cambered brick arches and keystones featuring a satyr's head. The second-floor windows are similar but have plain keystones and lack a string course. A moulded brick cornice and a plain parapet complete the design. This building is included mainly for its group value with Nos. 2 and 4 Church Street.
