Description

No 39 on Broad Street is a former house and shop, now functioning as a shop, dating from the early 18th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork and a tiled roof. The building has a two-window wide front and is two rooms deep, with two storeys and attics. The shop front has an entrance on the right, with a boarded stable door in a heavy frame next to it. Above the entrance are two sash windows, which have weight boxes on the outer face of the wall. Inside, there is a coved plaster cornice. The building also has a pedimented dormer with a square eaves projection and a two-light casement window. A brick chimney is located on the ridge to the left.
