Description

Reevey Gate is a late 17th-century building, originally three cottages, which was later converted into a single house and further altered in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of rubble stone with quoins, and has an artificial stone slate roof, with three restored stone stacks. It comprises a single range with a small rear wing, and a single storey with an attic. The front has four gables, each featuring restored 2-light stone mullion windows with square hoodmoulds. The ground floor has two 3-light stone mullions with square hoodmoulds to the left, and a single mullion nearly central. A recessed 20th-century timber door, under a new timber lintel, is situated at the front, with a single stone light to its right. The interior is said to retain some large beams and an inglenook fireplace at the base of the right-end stack.
