Description

Paradise Farm is a cottage, likely dating from the early 17th century. It is a detached building with a long rear cross range, forming an L-shape. The cottage is built of rubble stone with a thatched roof and two stone chimney stacks. The front range is single storey with an attic, while the rear cross range is single storey. There are a series of windows, most of which are paired wooden casements with timber lintels. Two dormers are set into the thatch. A single 2-light stone mullion window, with a square hoodmould, is located at the centre of the ground floor. A blocked doorway to the left retains its timber lintel; the current entrance is at the rear of the property. According to the listing, Paradise Farm appears to be the only surviving example of what was once a group of thatched cottages in the village.
