Description

Three cottages, located at Dunfield, were built in the late 18th century. They are constructed of rubble stone with flush stone quoins and have hipped roofs covered in stone slate. The cottages feature two large stone ridge stacks with brick flues. The design is a single front range with small rear extensions, and they have two storeys. There are six windows in total, each with round-headed stone surrounds and blocked tympanums, along with a two-light wooden casement at the base. Numbers 3 and 4 each have a plank door with a small window and a curved hood supported by struts, and one matching window on the ground floor. Number 5, on the left, has a filled-in doorway that matches the existing window, and a modern extension provides access on the left-hand return.
