Description
Cox's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th to 17th century, constructed from limestone rubble with a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays, along with a 17th-century rear wing that has three bays and is one storey with an attic. The entrance is located in the re-entrant angle at the rear. The farmhouse features stone ovolo-moulded windows with three and two lights, each with label moulds. There is a central porch that is of a later date. The roof has three hipped dormers with leaded casements and gable stacks. The right gable includes a canted two-storey bay with a parapet, with the upper level added in the 1930s. The property is named after Cox, who occupied it in 1571. The interior has not been seen.
