Description
This is a mid-17th century corner house located at 2 London Road and 1 Hampton Street in Tetbury. The building is constructed of rubble stone and features a Cotswold stone slate roof, with one stone stack and one double stack that is half stone and half brick.
The elevation facing London Road has three storeys and includes two windows on the first floor, which are twin casements with a continuous drip mould. There is an arch above the left-hand window on the first floor. The second floor features two 2-light stone mullion windows with lead lights and square hoodmoulds. The ground floor has a large shop front window and a door to the left, which has an interrupted drip mould.
On the Hampton Street elevation, which has two storeys and an attic, there are two gables with small blocked oval windows. The first floor contains three windows, which are twin casements with moulded stone frames and a continuous drip mould. Each gable has two 2-light stone mullion windows with lead lights and square hoodmoulds. The ground floor has two shop front windows and a central door. The building was unoccupied as of October 1984.
