Description
Number 3, part of Coombe House, is a large house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of ashlar with some tooled stone, and features a Cotswold stone slate roof that has a single ashlar stack on the left side, while the roof at the rear is tiled and has two lateral stacks. The building has a double range with a lower range at the back and stands two storeys high with a parapet wall.
There are six windows, which are 12-pane sashes that vary in size and spacing. On the ground floor, there are four windows with large tooled stone lintels. The central gabled porch is adorned with a pediment and Doric pilasters, and it has a moulded architrave. The original outer door is made up of four panels with bolection mouldings and a central vertical groove, and there is a six-fielded panel inner door with a fanlight featuring two mullions. To the left of the main entrance, there is an additional small door with four flush panels. The property is also complemented by a complete set of spearhead iron railings and a gate.
