Description
A pair of houses dating from the late 17th century, situated in a terrace on Long Street. The buildings are constructed of roughcast-faced rubble stone with a Cotswold stone slate roof and a stone stack to the right. The main range has a through passage, with two large gables facing the street and two long rear cross ranges which have been restored. The houses are two storeys and have an attic. They contain four windows, each being a three-light stone mullion casement. There is a similar-style window in each gable, located just above the eaves, with a small circular opening at the apex of each gable. Number 50, on the left, features a four-light stone mullion window and a wide plank door to the right, leading to the through passage and providing access to the left of the property. Number 52 has a shop front on the left, a central half-glazed door, and a three-light fixed window to the right. The interior of the shop contains some elaborate carved wooden fittings, likely dating from the 19th century.
