Description

No. 48 Long Street is a cottage located in a terrace, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone, which is limewashed, and features a tiled roof with brick stacks at the rear. The building is arranged in a double range, consisting of a single storey and an attic.

On the left side, there is a large gable that includes paired leaded casement windows with a flat stone mullion and frame. Each window light has a pointed arch head with intersecting tracery. Flanking the boarded door on the ground floor, which is set beneath a wooden lintel, are two similar windows. To the right, there is an inserted gabled dormer that contains twin casements.
