Pair of cottages, formerly 3. C18. Renovated C20 under patronage of Lawrence Johnston. Squared limestone rubble with weather boarding around dormer windows. Thatched roofs. No 3, (right), has ashlar gable end stacks with moulded tops and skirtings, twin stacks on left. No 5 has a rectangular brick stack at left gable end. No 3 single storey with attic lit by 2 dormers, with thatched hoods. 3-windowed. No 5: single storey and attic lit by two dormers under thatched hoods, with single storey extension set back from facade, joining no 5 with No 3. Windows: 2 and 3-light C20 metal casements with leaded panes. One 3-light, flat chamfered stone-mullioned window ground floor left of No 3. No 3 now entered via C20 door at right gable end. Painted plank door with strap hinges in facade, right of stone mullioned window. Plank door towards right gable end of No 5. National Trust property.
