Description
Loders End consists of two attached cottages built in the 18th century, with renovations made in the 20th century. The cottages have rubble-stone walls and thatched roofs with gable ends. There are brick stacks located at the left-hand gable, as well as on the left and right ridges of the roofs. The buildings are 1½ storeys high and feature five windows, which are three-light wooden casements with horizontal glazing-bars and wooden cills, topped with stone, keyed lintels. The front door of No. 1 is located towards the west end and is a plank-and-muntin style from the 20th century, with a thatched porch canopy supported by wooden brackets. No. 2 has its door on the east gable end, also a 20th-century addition, and features a thatched porch canopy above.
