Description
The Farmer's Arms is a former public house that has been converted into a private detached house. It dates from the mid-17th century and features coursed rubble stone walls. The roof is thatched, with stone gable copings on both the left and right gables, and there are brick stacks at each gable. The building has two storeys with attics, and there is one window on each wall. These windows are three-light stone mullions with labels and hollow chamfers, although several of the mullions have been badly renewed. The windows now contain 20th-century metal casements with lead lights. There is a doorway in the angle, which is a plank-and-muntin style from the 20th century, and a hipped slate canopy is located in the corner. A 20th-century addition at the west end, which includes a garage and a room above, is not included in the listing.
