Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated and initialled E.C. 1696 on the left jamb of the front door. It is constructed of ashlar limestone with a limestone slate roof and flat coped gables. The right gable end features roll-cross saddles with a weather vane at the apex. There is a single ashlar stack on the left gable end and a twin diagonal ashlar stack along the ridge, positioned off centre to the right. The building has a three-room plan and is two storeys tall with an attic, which is illuminated by three triangular dormers and stone-mullioned garret windows that have stopped hoods. The facade has four windows, including two, three, and four-light flat-chamfered stone-mullioned windows, all fitted with metal casements that have single horizontal glazing bars. The front door, which is a 20th-century plank door with cover strips and two very small lights, is located off centre to the right and is set within a four-centred, flat-chamfered surround. To the left of the farmhouse, there is a 19th-century cottage and a converted agricultural building, both featuring 20th-century casement windows that are not of listable quality.
