Description
This is a pair of cottages, with No 1 on the right and No 2 on the left, located in Ebrington, Hidcote Bartrim. They were renovated in the 20th century under the guidance of Lawrence Johnston. The cottages are constructed from limestone rubble and feature thatched roofs, with weather boarding around the dormer windows. There are artificial stone stacks at the gable ends and an off-centre stack on the left. The buildings are one storey high with an attic, featuring three dormers that have thatched hoods and 20th-century, three-light windows with glazing bars.
On the ground floor, there are 20th-century casement windows, one three-light stone-mullioned window with a stopped hood, and one four-light flat chamfered stone-mullioned window with a stopped hood and a king mullion in the right gable end, which has a three-light stone-mullioned window above it. All the stone-mullioned windows are fitted with leaded lights. This property is owned by the National Trust.
