Description
A pair of semi-detached cottages, dating from the early 18th century. The rubble stone construction of No. 80 is painted, while the entire building is covered by a thatched roof, with a hip to the left side and a brick stack to the right. The cottages are arranged in a baffle entry plan. They are two storeys high with a two-window front. Two 20th-century doors are positioned to the right of the centre, each with a canopy. No. 80 has a 2-light casement window, and No. 79 features a 3-light cyma-mullioned casement. The first floor of No. 79 contains a 3-light cyma-mullioned casement, while No. 80 has a 2-light casement. The left return has a 3-light casement window on the ground floor and a 2-light casement on the first floor. A single-storey addition, with a hipped thatched roof and casement windows, is attached to the right return. Rear lean-to additions and small raking dormers to the attic are also present. The interior features chamfered beams, including stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
