Description
24 and 26 Main Street are three cottages arranged in a row, dating from the 17th to early 18th century. They are constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof, and feature rendered brick and stone stacks. No 26 has a rectangular plan and is 1½ storeys high, with the upper floor illuminated by three gables, each containing two-light stone-mullioned casements aligned with the eaves. The ground floor has two two-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements and a single double-chamfered light on the far right. There is a 19th-century plank door set within a flat-chamfered segmental-headed surround, and a bull's-eye window with a pointed bottom is positioned above the doorway. No 24 is two storeys tall and consists of a single bay with two-light casements on both the ground and first floors, along with a 19th-century plank door to the right. No 26 has an axial rendered brick stack, while No 24 features a stone gable end stack. The interior has not been inspected.
