Description
No. 30 Main Street is a detached house dating from the 18th century with 20th-century alterations. It is constructed from randomly coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof and features 20th-century stone stacks. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a two-windowed facade. The ground floor has two-light stone-mullioned casements, while the first floor has two-light steel casements. A central door made of planks, dating from the 19th to 20th century, is located at the front. There is a blocked single garret light in the gable end and a similar light in the rear wall, which has a frosted light. The house has a single bay and includes a 20th-century extension to the left of the main body, which features a three-light artificial stone-mullioned window on the ground floor and a two-light steel casement with a gable covered in hung tiles on the first floor. The main body and the extension both have gable end stacks and flat gable end coping. The interior has not been inspected.
