2/52 Barn and open-fronted store, Soundborough II
Barn and open-fronted store dated and initialled H.H. 1817 on stone plaque towards apex of porch gable. Limestone rubble, corrugated asbestos roof. Barn, rectangular in plan with projecting porches towards south end, open-fronted store to south gable end. Cottage attached to store not of special interest. Barn, gabled porch on east side with lean-tos either side, lean-to extension to gable end of porch also. Porch with lean-to roof on opposite side with 2- light wood mullioned window right. Owl hole in right gable end. 1½ storey, 3-bay open fronted store with stone piers between bays and single 2-light casement to upper foor. Flat gable end coping and roll saddles to barn. Barn interior: 4-bays with original roof trusses with collar and tie beams.
