Description

Merlin Cottage is a semi-detached cottage dating from the 17th century, located on the north side of The Quarry in Sevenhampton. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof and featuring a pebble-dashed stack. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan and is a single storey with an attic, which is illuminated by two 2-light dormers at the eaves, equipped with 2-light metal casements. On the ground floor, there are two 2-light stone-mullioned windows, positioned on either side of a projecting 20th-century gabled porch that has a plank door. All windows are fitted with leaded panes, and there are gable end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
