CHEDWORTH CHEDWORTH VILLAGE SP 0512 10/61 Stableblock c1Om east of The Manor (formerly listed under 23.1.52 Manor Farmhouse and barn)

GV II

Former stableblock, now a store. Early C18. Roughly squared limestone with dressed stone quoins; stone slate roof. Rectangular plan with a pair of raking buttresses on the east side. Single-storey with loft. West front (from left to right): stone steps up to a low plank door to loft; plank door to the ground floor; 2-light window with a timber lintel: double slatted door within a C20 dressed stone surround. Stone steps up the right gable end to plank door with strap hinges. Pigeon/dove holes with landings to the gable above. East front with two raking buttresses: C19 two-light traceried window (reused from Cheltenham College) to the left of the latter; single-light window with semi- circular dressed stone head to the right. Two 2-light metal casements with leaded panes at the right gable end. Original cobbled standing outside the west front. Interior cobbled standing and original hay racks.
